West Lancs Mark Lodge, No65. 2019

While some Mark Lodges have not yet had their first meeting, West Lancs Mark Lodge No65 held their second meeting on Wednesday 6 November at Liverpool Masonic Hall.
John McKenzie and John Smith
This is the Lodge’s Installation meeting and representing the RW Provincial Grand Master was WBro David Rigby, Prov. G.S.W.    The RW Provincial Grand Masters special reprehensive for the Liverpool area WBro Mike Winterbottom, PGSD, was also in attendance.
John Roberts and Richard Wilson
However the Installation meeting was in fact a proclamation as WBro Billy Skinner, PPrGSD, had agreed to remain as Worshipful Master, for a further year.  Unfortunately WBro Skinner was unable attend the meeting and so WBro Roy Cowley stood in as the WM.    After the distinguished guests had been admitted and saluted, there was a ballot for a new member which proved positive.  It was now down to the DC, WBro John Roberts, PPrGStB,   to Proclaim WBro Billy Skinner, PPrGSD, Worshipful Master of West Lancs Mark Lodge No65.
David Rigby and Roy Cowley
WBro Roy Cowley then had the pleasure of appointing and investing the officers of the lodge on behalf of WBro Skinner.   With the majority of the officers staying in place this was a short ceremony.  Now it was WBro David Rigby’s big moment when he stepped forward to give an assured address to the brethren.   At the end of the ceremony WBro Rigby then thanked WBro’s, Cowley and Roberts for the work that they had done and he also thanked WBro Richard Wilson, PGStB, for the organisation needed to see that the evening ran smoothly.
Everybody
Once the cheques had been presented it was time to close the lodge.   At the festive board the in response to the toast to Province, WBro Rigby got a plug in for the Royal Ark Mariner Degree and the Liverpool Mark Social Night on Saturday 25 January 2020 to be held at Liverpool Masonic Hall.  WBro David thanked the lodge for the warmth of their welcome and wished the lodge well for the coming year.  We also wish the lodge well and they will be looking forward to bringing in a new candidate at the Lodge’s meeting in March 2020.
